When one zone dies, the rest of the system is a control group. That is useful. We run the good zones, then the bad one, and the difference tells us whether we are looking at a valve, a cut common, a lateral break, or a controller station.
West-side HOA lots often have too many heads on one valve. The last three heads mist. People add a pump in their head. The real fix is a split zone or smaller nozzles, not a longer run time that floods the first head.
We will split a overloaded zone when the pipe layout allows it. That is a design conversation, priced as such.
